The sunshine is out. There is a nice breeze--the kind that makes you want to open the windows. It's not humid. It's not even too hot yet. There are flowers on sale outside at the grocery store. Spring is in the air. After a morning of running errands and a successful afternoon nap on Saturday, it was time to get out and enjoy it :) I put Brock in the stroller and off we went. I found out last week that there is a park up the road that I never knew about. It is a city park, but you have to drive into a housing development to get there, so you would never know it existed unless someone told you--weird. So we walked up the street, into the housing development, up a big hill, past a tiny playground which I thought was the park until I saw a sign that said I was trespassing, and then a little further until I reached a big grassy area, a parking lot, some trees, and just beyond that....paradise. The biggest most beautiful lake I have seen south of the Mason-Dixon, with peninsulas and islands and fishing docks and boat ramps and kayaks and wildlife....to think this has been hiding right up the road all this time. Brock and I looked out at the water, watched the birds, played in the grass, enjoyed the sun on our faces and the wind in our hair, and to top it all off, he had his first solo ride on a swing. My heart is happy :)
Hey Boo, I posted Brock Swinging in the Swing on my FB. But my most favorite picture......the one of his foot in the grass. Becky.....my goodness that looks like a professional photo. You're so Gifted. :) Love ya to the moon and back
