Rubber Duckie

Ah, bath time.The kitchen sink has gotten much too wet for me now that baby knows how to splash. The bathtub is painful and nerve racking with having to lean over and make sure he doesn't slip. Bottom line...I love this duck.

Flip Me Over And...

This was a funny night. I put the cutie pie to bed sleepy and ready to snooze.  As always, I laid him down on his back, gave him his pacifier, and tucked his blanket around him. He was especially wiggly, but I figured he'd fall asleep pretty quickly. Unexpectedly, a few minutes later, he was crying...with  gusto. I went in to check on him, and to my surprise, he was no longer on his back. He had flipped himself over on his tummy...for the first time. The problem is, he doesn't like to be on his tummy. And yet he kept doing it. We repeated the process over and over. Put the baby down on his back. Walk away. Hear crying. Walk in and the baby is on his tum tum. Well kid, I guess you'll eventually figure out that if you don't like being on your tummy, you should not do this anymore. I suppose he wasn't too upset...he took a break from his tears to smile for the camera :)

Dig My Do?

Brock finally has enough hair to give us some styling options and some fun after-bath pictures. The first time I realized this, I broke out the video camera. The video is fun although the harido dried too fast to catch the crazy hair on film. I followed up with some pics at his next bath time so you could see. Enjoy!

Happy New Year...And Christmas Continues

One more family gathering to wrap up our Christmas celebrations. Brock got some more great toys. Where will we put them all? :) 

This caterpillar is perfect to wrap-around as a cushion in case he tips over. 

And it can be a body pillow when he gets older! Or maybe I'll borrow it  :)

And aren't these cute jammies? Our neighbor got them for Brock yesterday. They are size 12 months, but she said they looked small. The arms and legs are long but not loose...he fills them out pretty well.  He looks more like a little boy than a baby in these to me.
