Swimming Pool Baby

It was in this swimming pool that Brock put his own face in the water for the first time! He intentionally put his whole face in the water over and over again and he even blew some bubbles. It was a proud Mommy moment :)

Trucks!

 Even before he had ever played with a truck, Brock would "drive" his other toys around on the floor. He first played with trucks when he visited my sister's kids out in the country.  He seemed to know instinctively what to do with them. Here he is playing with some of his very first trucks which were early birthday presents. Do little girls do this or are boys are born with a truck gene?

Brock's birthday was a few weeks ago, but I still have some videos that I haven't put on the blog. Here he is opening his first birthday present a few days before his birthday. He sure does love music!

Welcome to Cicely!

Ok. To put it mildly, I am a huge Northern Exposure fan. Maybe it's because I love quirky character dramas. Maybe it's because it was filmed in the great state of Washington. Maybe it's because it was made during the prime years of my childhood, and the bad hairdos and tacky outfits bring back fond memories of a simpler time. Whatever the reason, I L-O-V-E this show. I own all the seasons on DVD. I have seen them more times than I can count, including the episodes that were playing in the background for more than 24 hours when I was in labor and delivery with Brock. Needless to say, I was super excited that we got to visit Roslyn, WA earlier this month where the show was filmed. Welcome to the fictional town of Cicely, Alaska!

Our favorite show is "Big Bang Theory". Aunt Ginny and Uncle Mikey got Daddy a Bazinga shirt for his birthday, so they figured the perfect gift for Brock's first birthday would be a matching one. Here's a fun photo shoot with my Bazinga Boys :)

Brock loves to pull the kitchen towels down and put them over his head. Then he proceeds to crawl around the house with them on his shoulders (or his head which doesn't seem like such a great idea). He stays so entertained with this game. Whatever floats your boat, kiddo :)

Happy Birthday Brock!!!

I can't believe one year ago today I gave birth to the most precious child on God's green earth. I have loved every moment of being his mommy. Thank you, Jesus, for the amazing gift of Brock.
