And aren't these cute jammies? Our neighbor got them for Brock yesterday. They are size 12 months, but she said they looked small. The arms and legs are long but not loose...he fills them out pretty well.  He looks more like a little boy than a baby in these to me.

Day After Christmas

Brock got so many fun toys for Christmas! Here's just one that he was playing with the morning after Christmas. It is a fantastic little activity center :)

This week we took a trip to visit my uncle, cousins, and grandparents. It was two of the cousins' first time meeting Brock and boy did he get lots of attention :)

Halloween in December?

This is so random. I found this baby skeleton outfit in a box of clothes we had. I realize it is not Halloween, but it fits right now, so if this child is ever going to wear this, its either now or never. I chose now. It has footies and is pretty soft, so I figured it could work as a fun pair of PJ's. I chuckled to myself every time I caught a glimpse of him the night he wore it. Then at around 4:45 a.m. the next morning when my husband left for work and I was putting the baby back down in his crib in the pitch black dark, I realized something amazing. The skeleton glows. Genius. Oh how I wish I could have captured that on film. I tried and failed, but you'll have to take my word for it. Very funny.

I guess the glow isn't strong enough for the camera to pick up without the flash, huh?

Pillows, Pillows Everywhere

Brock is getting pretty good at sitting up, but eventually he tips over. The other day, I decided it would be a good idea to add some padding to his world...behind him and on both sides. Then he tipped forward, so we added a pillow in front for good measure. Our living room looks like a pillow factory, but it works. (He doesn't generally watch TV, but this was Christmas Eve day, and he needed to watch Charlie Brown Christmas while he played...)

Brock's First Christmas

What a wonderful Christmas. We went to Christmas Eve service and were treated to a lovely dinner with family. We were up at 4:30 on Christmas morning for a feeding and then did a little prep for Christmas breakfast. After a little nap, we got up for the day, read the Christmas story with all the characters in our nativity set, and then we all headed to Grams' and Pa's for a fun day of celebration.

Christmas in the Park

We had some fun family time the other night going to the park to look at Christmas lights! It was Brock's first time. He is an early sleeper, so we had to wake him up when we got there, but it was worth it. He was a little tired, but I think he liked it. Sidenote, it was 70 degrees and there were people in shorts. Something felt wrong about that, but that's the south for ya :)

What' Up Cuz?

My cousin Eleni and Mimi came to visit this week. So fun! It was Eleni and Brock's first time meeting, but she already knew all about him because she reads the blog. What a sweetie. She played with him, fed him, pushed him in the stroller...he LOVES her and his Mimi, too. Brock got lots of playtime, his first taste of applesauce, a picture with Santa, his first Christmas ornament, and some yummy bread when we went out to dinner. Good times were had by all :) 

Mr. McSteamy

Brock got a cool mist humidifier from his Granny last week. We're sorry he needs it, but we're so glad to have it. It's helping his chest congestion and it's super cute! Also, Brock is fascinated with it, so we're giving it 3 stars!

Tag, You're It!

Have you ever heard people say that their kids have more fun with the boxes their toys come in than the toys themselves? We haven't had that experience yet, but I have noticed that Brock has a thing for tags. I first noticed it on his play gym. He sits in his Bumbo and reaches out to play with the toys hanging from it, and then all of a sudden he'll start reaching for the floor where there are no toys. But there is a tag, and he is bound and determined to get it. It happened again when he was playing with his new Thomas the Tank Engine. Loves the tag. It cracks me up every time.
